OUR RALLY CRY
DAY ONE | 08.04
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
How many times in our lives have we reacted to a circumstance or allowed worldly knowledge to lead us in our decision making? I know for me I have struggled with this from time to time. Over these next three weeks, I really would like to see our spiritual walk go deeper especially in prayer. When we look at 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 we see that God’s will for us is to “Rejoice always”, “pray continually”, and “give thanks in all circumstances”. Over the next twenty-days my prayer for us as a church is we can live out 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 and realize that Prayer should be our first response not our last resort.
Over the next 21 days we will be having a key verse, discussion questions, prayer focuses and next steps to help guide you on this 21 days. Even though we will have specific prayer focuses I would encourage you to have these as an everyday prayer focus for your prayer time:
Thanking God first and foremost for what he has already done in our lives
Humble ourselves. Asking for forgiveness for our sins and the sins of our land.
Seeking God, Declaring our dependence on God in every area of our lives.
His Kingdom Come. Praying for the completion of the Great Commission and for revival in our generation
Hear from Heaven, Inviting the Presence of God in our church and our lives (souls saved, signs, wonders, miracles, and transformed lives)
Next Steps, Praying for all people in their journey of faith to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose and Make a Difference
Believing God for answered prayer to our specific needs (Connection Cards, and Prayer requests)
Determine the best place to worship and pray in your home, and set aside time to pray there every morning.
